Not only does this help to increase the ease of use, but it also allows me to reduce the overall weight and torque on my setup. Pairing DualDial with Mathews Bridgelock or the Hoyt Picatinny mount further reduces imbalance in your setup and creates an extremely streamlined system.
Accuracy
Accuracy and precision are some of the most important aspects in becoming a more effective bowhunter. I put a premium on accuracy above almost everything else, and UV Slider™ provides me with an excellent platform to hunt off of. Utilizing TripleMark™, a unified pin and indicator pairing solution, makes every pin a floating pin – guaranteeing precision at any distance. All of the indicators are extremely fine and close to the tape and giving me an accurate read on distance no matter what angle I view it from. Spot and stalk hunting can present fleeting opportunities at your target, with very little time to range, draw, aim, and shoot. Using an adjustable 3 pin cartridge and indicator allows me to keep 20-30-40 marks set at all times, and when I need to shoot further I can slide my sight down the rail and still have 3 precise sight marks. One singular revolution of the DualDial I take my marks smoothly from the top of my sight rail to the bottom. Having the ability to accurately adjust my yardage when spot and stalk hunting gives me more time to stay in the moment.
When hunting in the mountains, I often encounter shot opportunities that are either up or down steep slopes. Without a properly leveled sight you can face pretty serious left and right errors in arrow placement. UV Slider™ comes with a pre-leveled 1st and 3rd axis which makes setup a breeze. These axis adjustments are also micro-adjustable giving me the ability to tweak the sight quickly, easily, and very precisely. Even the smallest adjustment can have a dramatic impact on where your arrow ends up downrange, so take your time here and ensure you have a setup that is perfectly level to you and your shot.
Convenience
Whether you have to travel 10 hours or 10 minutes to your hunt, having a sight that you can rely on to keep its marks is a must. The QuickBreak latch on UV Slider allows you to quickly and easily remove your sight and scope unit from the vertical rail - giving you the ability to safely transport your equipment, or give it a quick wash when distant hunts get dirty. Every time I put my bow in the backseat or on a plane I take my Slider apart to ensure the safest travel possible on the way to my destination.
Personally, I like to use two different arrow setups in the fall - one that is lighter and faster for whitetails, and another that is heavier for larger game like elk. TwinTapes on UV Slider™ gives me the ability to easily swap between arrow setups on the same sight. Even if you just use one arrow setup all year you can put the same speed tape on each side of the sight, giving you a clean visual on the sight tape from multiple angles.
